This is the tentative Paddle Schedule for 2011. Please note that there are a few empty
dates. If you wish to take charge of one
of the empty date please let Glenn know by e-mail or snail mail. He will update the schedule and let the rest
of the membership know about the new dates.
Remember, by sending our notices by e-mail the club saves money. This is how we remain in business without
requiring dues.

Carol & Mike Droge 28398 Spring Rd Kentmore Park 410-348-5017 |
We can paddle out to Swan Point with our dinners around
6:30. We could build a bonfire if it's cool, dine
during sunset (a pretty spot to see it), and paddle back with the full moon.
Then come back to our place for a bonfire and beverages. People can go out earlier if they want a longer paddle and
meet back at Swan Point, which is only about a mile from our house so an easy
paddle home in the moonlight. Directions: From Chestertown, go north on 213 towards Galena.
Turn left on Rt 444 North. Follow approx. 3 miles to first left on
Turners Point Rd. Down a hill, then right on Spring Rd. Go almost
to the end of the road - we are on the right. "Droge River
House" is on the lamppost. Short carry down our front yard to the
river. I suggest people arrive early enough to leave around 5:30 for a nice
paddle before dinner. |

Arts at Still Pond Station Beryl Kemp 410-778-4642 Zane Carter 410-778-7370 |
Meet at the beach by the former
US Coast Guard facility, which is now the Arts at
Still pond Station (ASPS). The arts center, which includes Artworks' popular
clay studio, will be open and ASPS is inviting artists from around the region
to bring a piece of their recent work to show (along with food and drink) and
to join in the party. The station is located at the mouth of Still Pond
Creek. With the sun setting over the bay to the west, and the moon rising
over Still Pond Creek to the east, partygoers find the beachfront location
quite scenic. We plan to have a grill for barbecuing and a "poker
run" for kayakers, who will collect a card at each of five buoys and
then compare to see who drew the prize-winning hand. There will be much to
see and do. For directions and a link to download a PDF map, visit |
